Description of responsibilities:

Kahuna is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for a project-based electrical engineering position. This role will support and receive on-the-job training as needed from experienced senior-level professional electrical engineers and project managers designing industrial facilities in the energy industry. Responsibilities include:


  • Medium and low voltage power system design.
  • PLC-based process control/automation and communication system design.
  • Project engineering and technical tasks (client interaction and job scoping, equipment specification, engineering calculations and drawing reviews, contractor bidding, onsite construction inspection, system commissioning and troubleshooting assistance, project management).


Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelors or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 to 10 years of industry experience in power and/or control system engineering and design.
  • PE License preferred, or a minimum of EIT with progress toward a PE License.
  • Strong work ethic, and willingness/ability to travel to field project locations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to quickly react to changing priorities and deadlines.
